Avanti Way Realty Website ReDesign & Development

Avanti Way is not your average Real Estate Brokerage. They don’t just do real estate. They use propriatary web technology, called Avex, that provides smart data driven real estate market information to their agents, that they can use to provide the best service for their clients.

During our discovery process with Avanti Way, we were immersed into the world of real estate. Conducting interviews with key personnel and real estate agents within the company that provided us with valuable insight into the challenages their clients faced on their website. Educating the public about the efficiency of their organization, their proprietary plaform, and the company culture was a key component to this development.

In addition, we learned about how complex and powerful their proprietary plaform Avex was. It offered an abundance of tools that populated valuable information. It was up to us to communicate this technology on their website, which differenciated them from the other brokerages.

UX Strategy

The bulk of the UX strategy was focused on how to simplify the user journey of finding homes. Avanti Way’s home search hierarchy on their old site was pretty complicated, so we needed to find an effective way of simplifying things to make it easier for visitors to find what they needed.

Our goal was to streamline the journey and decrease the number of clicks it took to land on a page containing information on a home or on an area in the city. We introduced shortcuts that allowed visitors to find the information they were looking for in just 1-3 clicks. By creating links to pages with pre-established filtered information, such as, available homes in a certain area, market trends, homes recently dropped in price, and more, we enhanced the user experience and made the website easier to navigate. This allowed visitors to visit the website and research the information more effectively and quicker.

Aligning the website look and feel to Avanti Way’s brand values was where our design team got to put their skills at work. The colors, imagery, and fonts were all intentionally curated to reflect the technological focus of their business. In order to give Avanti Way the most control over managing the content of their website, we build the website on a custom designed wordpress platform. Updating the website is simple to do, plus, it gave their technology team the flexibilty to implement and customize their in-house proprietary platform, Avex. It took a great deal of logic and layout structure design in order to implement it properly. We began with identifying the users state-of-mind (i.e. searching for an agent, searching for a property, or searching for an investment), to then identify their behavior. We then mapped out what information they would be looking for, and how they wished to find the this information. We then knew where and how to display the MLS (Multiple Listings Services), what videos to develop and where to place, and where to include text and images.

Test & Launch

Once the development was complete, we worked diligently to test Avanti Way’s new website. We needed to ensure that each search function displayed with the correct result based on what option the user selected.

Once we were confident that the backend search creation and frontend results pages were working properly, we then began testing on mobile and tablet devices to ensure everything responded properly and provided an optimal user experience.

After several rounds of testing, we were confident that the site was working perfectly and we began preparing for launch. Migrating the site onto the live server, we went through another full round of testing to ensure the live site functioned exactly the same as the development environment.

The Results

With their freshly redesigned site, Avanti Way has an innovative website that allows visitors to quickly find the property they are looking for. Avanti Way’s site administrators are able to easily manage products from the robust content management system, and will have no problem in incorporating their platform, Avex, while adding features in the future as they continue to expand their real estate operations.
